A keylock design circling the rim, inverted ruyi heads around the foot.

The body intricately enamelled with four scenic panels in shades of blue, each bordered by five bats with elongated coiled wings.

Each frame bearing within, an exquisitely detailed mountain water landscape. The miniature details contained in each are truly amazing, the skill of the artist incomparable. Lines of calligraphy in each.

Separating the paintings, a bat holding the eternal knot, scrolling leafy vines, open peony blossoms, buds, the eternal knot.

The interior enamelled white.

The base with a blue Qianlong seal mark set against a white ground.

Formerly the property of a Japanese collector

Condition: Excellent.
