A superb ink cake in the shape of a semi circle.
The front displaying seated scholar and attendants in a landscape.
The reverse with calligraphy and seal mark
Calligraphy on the edge, reads "Cheng Junfang Ink"
"Ink made by Cheng Junfang during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty in China (1573-1620). Cheng was a famous ink maker in the Ming Dynasty. He was from Shexian County, Anhui Province.
He was as famous as Fang Yulu, an ink maker at the time, and was known as "Equation".
Chinese name Cheng Junfang Ink
Condition : Ink Stick /cake, no breaks , very good for age. Gilding age faded. Original Box : Age Faded & Stained.
