A Genuine Japanese vintage copper bronze censer

A superb and unusual censer of an elephant the hide extremely well cast.
One option is carrying a stupa on its back.
A stupa,also known as a pagoda, is the most sacred building in Buddhism.
A stupa symbolises the enlightened mind and the path to enlightenment.
The other option is carrying a Karako (唐子).
A Japanese term used in art for the depiction of Chinese children, usually playing. The literal translation means "Tang children".
