Japanese Pipe Holder Kiseruzutsu Spiral

LATE EDO TO EARLY MEIJI (1850 - 1900)

Kiseruzutsu, 1850 - 1900.

Carved in a spiral from a branch of the Cherry tree.
The bronze mouthpiece on the kiseru (pipe) with a silver colour metal inlay of a bird and foliage, the bowl section engraved with a branch of the cherry tree with a single inlaid blossom.
Signed under the bowl : Murata

This is rare in the fact that the cherry wood kiseruzutsu still has the original kiseru (pipe) engraved inlaid with a cherry blossom.

Condition : Excellent for age, no damages, no loss.
